Driven by the family passion, I began motocross at the age of eight. Until I was 16, I practised this sport with the sole aim of enjoying myself and having fun but still taking part in races like the Angora championship or the championship of my club, the Meyrinos. I then had a five-year break from motocross. Then in 2014, I followed my sister to the United States for a two-month vacation where I resumed motocross for fun. But I didn’t want to stop, and my family encouraged me to take up motocross again. So I invested a lot of time and effort and in the first year took part in a number of Swiss women’s championship races. I then began to ride in the Angora championship and continued to ride in the Swiss women’s championship, finishing in 10th place. The year after, I came 11th in the Swiss women’s championship despite health issues, notably a shoulder that kept dislocating. At the end of that year, I decided to have my shoulder operated on. Unfortunately, I was one of the rare cases where the operation did not go well and I had to be operated on again in March 2018, ending my dream of being in the top 5 in the Swiss women’s championship. But since this operation, both my movement and my shoulder have returned to normal. I am currently preparing myself physically by following the programme and advice of Sebastien Tortelli. I devote as much time as I can – along with my degree in psychology at Geneva University – to motocross and I’m more motivated than ever ahead of the 2019 season, both physically and mentally, when it comes to achieving my target of being in the top 5 in the Swiss women’s championship. I’m also hoping to ride in my club’s races and in the Angora championship, alongside the men.
